National Center on Institutions and Alternatives Inc is seeking a Special Education Teacher in Baltimore, MD. The role emphasizes structured, compassionate instruction aligned to IEP goals within a Maryland-approved nonpublic school.

You will collaborate with clinical and educational teams to create safe, engaging classrooms and monitor student progress, while maintaining compliant documentation and participating in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Valid Maryland Educator License in Special Education.
• Knowledge of IDEA, COMAR, and MSDE nonpublic school expectations.
• Experience working with students with emotional disabilities, autism, or intensive needs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design engaging lesson plans and instructional materials for diverse learners.
• Implement accommodations, modifications, and specialized instructional strategies.

Position Summary

The Special Education Teacher provides high‑quality, individualized instruction to students with disabilities in a structured, supportive nonpublic school environment. This role ensures instruction aligns with IEP goals, Maryland College and Career Ready Standards, COMAR regulations, and MSDE nonpublic school requirements. Teachers collaborate closely with clinical, behavioral, and academic teams to create safe, engaging classrooms where students can thrive academically, socially, and behaviorally.

What You’ll Do
