Job summary

Topaz HR is seeking multiple full-time Special Education Teachers for in-person, school-based roles in Avondale, AZ. You will deliver specialized instruction, support IEP goals, and foster an inclusive classroom that accommodates diverse learners.

You will collaborate with paraprofessionals and a multidisciplinary team, maintain progress records, and contribute to a supportive, low-stress environment that promotes student growth and positive outcomes.

Qualifications

Position Overview

A nationwide provider of comprehensive school-based therapy and educational services is seeking multiple Full-Time Special Education Teachers for in-person, school-based positions in Avondale, Arizona. In this role, you will provide specialized instruction, support students in achieving their IEP goals, and foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Responsibilities

• Teach and support students with diverse learning needs
• Develop and adapt engaging, curriculum-aligned lesson plans
• Support students in achieving their IEP goals
• Monitor and document student progress, grades, and evaluations
• Maintain a positive and effective classroom environment
• Build strong relationships with students, parents, and school staff
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals and multidisciplinary team members
• Maintain effective classroom management and organization

Qualifications

• Active Arizona Special Education Teacher (SPED) Certification
• Previous experience in special education or a related educational field
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills
• Ability to build positive rapport with students
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Compensation & Benefits

• $44–$66/hour, commensurate with experience
• Full-Time, in-person school-based position
