Qualifications

• Paraprofessionals must complete at least two years (60 credits) from an accredited college or pass the ParaPro Assessment.
• Previous experience working with students in a classroom setting preferred.
• Knowledge of child growth and development and appropriate classroom practices.
• Excellent integrity and demonstrates good moral character and initiative.
• Interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents, and the community.
• Effectively communicates and understands job instructions both verbally and written in the English language.
• Required criminal history background check and proof of US citizenship or legal resident alien status.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the implementation of students' IEPs, including self-help, behavior management, and instructional programs.
• Work one-to-one with students in the classroom under supervision of the teacher to help meet needed skills.
• Provide supplemental and clerical services to assist the classroom teacher.
