Job summary

Rochester Public Schools is seeking a Special Education ESP to support students with disabilities at the school site. The role includes implementing IEP elements under certified staff guidance, providing instructional support, and assisting with data collection and progress reporting.

Responsibilities involve de-escalation support, personal cares as needed, and collaboration with teachers and related services staff.

Qualifications

• 60 college credits or a two-year degree required; transcripts must be provided.
• Paraeducator Assessments are acceptable in lieu of credits/degrees.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with elementary students preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support students with needs under the supervision of certified staff.
• Assist with implementing IEP goals at the school site.
• Collect data and report progress to teachers and related staff.
• Communicate progress and concerns to classroom staff.
• Assist with behavior management and de-escalation as trained.
• Provide assistance with personal cares as needed.
