Qualifications

• Experience with school age children preferred.
• Completed associates or higher degree; higher education hours or rigorous standard accepted.
• Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance and First Aid/CPR/Bloodborne Pathogen training are required.

Responsibilities

• Assists teachers in implementing lesson plans and developing students' daily living and behavioral skills.
• Provides instructional support in large, small, and one-on-one settings.
• Adapts work to support and reinforce learning objectives.
• Administers first aid and delegated health services as needed.
• Maintains equipment and student files, including Medicaid billing records.
• Monitors student safety and learning progress in various locations.
• Performs clerical tasks to support teachers and communications with families.
• Attends trainings and uses approved de-escalation techniques when needed.
