Job summary

Gresham-Barlow School District 10J is seeking an Instructional Assistant to support teachers and students under licensed staff guidance. This role involves supervising and delivering instructional programs for students not in category programs, plus routine clerical tasks.

The position requires an associate degree or higher (or two years of college) with readiness to assist reading, writing, and mathematics, and will emphasize collaboration, communication, and safety in a diverse classroom

Qualifications

Experience working with school-age children in educational settings.
Completed associate degree or higher or two years of college with ability to assist reading, writing and mathematics.
Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance and First Aid/CPR card.

Responsibilities

Assist licensed teacher with assessment, supporting curriculum, student interactions, enforcing safety and promoting social growth.
Provide instructional support and tutoring to students in groups and one-on-one.
Maintain student files and classroom materials, scheduling and related clerical tasks.
Confer with teachers to provide feedback on student performance in instructional areas.
Support positive interpersonal relationships and safety in the school setting.
