Job summary

Intermediate School District 917 in Rosemount, MN is seeking Education Support Professionals to assist students in the ASD and DCD programs at the Dakota County Technical Center. The role supports TES A services, working under teachers and therapists to help students reach IEP goals.

The position is 7.5 hours per day, 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with a starting pay rate of $23.00 per hour under the Education Support Professionals Contract. ASAP start is available.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work with students receiving extensive special education services.
• Two years of college credits or an associate's degree or ParaPro passing score.
• Experience with children with disabilities is preferred.
• Ability to obtain PCA certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teacher with instruction and student programming.
• Differentiate instruction with adapted materials and strategies.
• Chart progress, collect data, and prepare required paperwork.
• Support classroom management and create a safe learning environment.
• Use proactive behavior strategies; de-escalation and possible restraints.
• Assist students with daily routines, mobility, and supervision.
