Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Alternative: two years of college (48+ units) or an associate degree.
• Passing a local assessment (e.g., CODESP or CBEST) is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional support to the Special Education teacher.
• Assist with self-help, behavior management, and instructional programs.
• Help keep classroom neat and orderly and assist with records.
• Support substitute teachers with classroom logistics.
• Oversee students in lunchroom, bus, and playground duties.
• Assist with health, safety, and personal care needs.
• Supervise and manage student behavior under supervision.
• Coordinate activities and support special needs students' needs.
