Job summary

Worcester Public Schools Forest Grove Middle School in Worcester, Massachusetts is seeking a Long Term Substitute Teacher in Special Education - Moderate Disabilities. The successful candidate will align instruction to district/state curricula and regularly assess student progress.

This is a full-time substitute through January 12, 2027, with potential continuation. Required: Bachelor's Degree and MA DESE license in Moderate Disabilities 5-12; SEI endorsement and experience with diverse learners

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree required.
Massachusetts DESE license in Moderate Disabilities 5-12 required.

Responsibilities

Remain up to date regarding curriculum content.
Plan and assess curriculum and instruction effectively.
Mentor students' understanding of the curriculum and adjust instruction as needed.
Maintain an effective classroom environment.
Deliver instruction with clear learning goals and appropriate questioning.
Use innovative approaches and technologies to boost learning.
Promote high standards and equitable opportunities for all students.
Support students with special needs, including 504 plans and ELLs.
Ensure equal educational opportunities regardless of background.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
