Job summary

Nebo School District in Utah is seeking a part-time Special Education Resource Technician to support elementary and secondary classrooms. The role integrates with the Special Education team to adapt activities, monitor progress, and maintain records.

Hours are 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM, five days per week, with 177 work days per year. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and background clearance.

Qualifications

• Required skills include operating standard office equipment and maintaining accurate records.
• Knowledge of basic math and ability to follow written procedures.
• Ability to work with diverse groups and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Adapts classroom activities and materials to support classroom objectives for SPED students.
• Administers progress monitoring tests to assist evaluation of student progress and IEP objectives.
• Assists in monitoring students to provide a safe and positive learning environment, covering for a teacher when needed.
• Collaborates with teachers to provide direct instructional services for remediation of math, language, and reading skills.
• Implements behavioral plans designed by the IEP team for students with behavior disorders.
• Maintains instructional materials and student records for reliable information.
• Participates in in-service workshops and training to improve job performance.
• Responds to emergencies to resolve safety concerns and coordinate with appropriate staff.
• Performs other related duties to ensure efficient operation.
