Job summary

RCM Healthcare Services seeks a dedicated Special Education Teacher / Resource Teacher for an onsite school setting in Grand Rapids, MI. The role involves managing an IEP caseload, delivering instruction in resource and general education settings, and collaborating with teachers and administrators to ensure compliance and student success.

You will maintain accurate documentation, participate in assessments, and support students with disabilities throughout the school year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or appropriate degree required for Michigan special education teacher certification.
• Valid Michigan Special Education teaching certification.
• Experience working with students with disabilities in a school or educational setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned caseload of special education students, including IEPs, REEDs, and MDRs.
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs while providing academic support in resource room and general education settings.
• Measure student skills and progress using appropriate assessments and maintain documentation.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and staff regarding accommodations, testing, and delivery of services.
• Complete required special education reports and maintain accurate files.
