Job summary

RCM Healthcare Services seeks a Self-Contained Special Education Teacher for elementary to transition grades in Monroe, Michigan. This onsite role supports students needing individualized instruction, following a school-year contract with a 35–37.5 hour week and a hourly compensation range of $56–$61.

The position requires a MI Teaching Certificate with an endorsement and a current MI Driver's License. Responsibilities include implementing proven curricula, monitoring progress, and collaborating

Special Education Teacher (Elem, Middle, Transition)

Compensation Range: $56-61/hour

Location: Monroe, MI; Onsite – School Setting

Key Duties

• Create a classroom environment that cultivates learning, engages the interests of the students, and allows them to perform at their very best.
• Utilize direct instruction techniques to guide our students through a variety of activities designed to promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth that is needed for primary school success!
• Explore individual needs and give side-by-side support to discover how each student learns best and develop personalized solutions to each student’s learning style and abilities.
• Master our proven curriculum as you implement our philosophy of education and guide the learning process and students toward the achievement of the curriculum goals.
• Evaluate student progress based on observations, data, and assessments, determines goals, objectives, and directions.
• Encourage students to uphold our values and model mature behavior and good character in the classroom, on the school campus, and throughout their lives.
• Develop and maintain an appropriate relationship with parents and/or guardians and periodically inform them of the student's progress
• Participate in IEPC and MET meetings when appropriate
