Job summary

AERRC is seeking a dedicated Special Education instructor to plan and provide learning experiences for students with disabilities across diverse educational settings. Through the IEP process, you will facilitate development in educational, social/emotional, communication, gross motor, fine motor, and adaptive domains.

The position offers a strong benefits package and a 184-day contract with a $2,000 signing bonus after 30 days. Retirement (TRS) and a 403b Employer Match are included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Alaska Initial, Professional, or Master certificate with endorsement in Special Education.
• Knowledge of state and federal Special Education laws.

Responsibilities

• Plans and provides appropriate learning experiences for students with disabilities in a variety of educational settings.
• Facilitates development in areas of need such as educational, social/emotional, communication, gross motor, fine motor, and adaptive through the IEP process.
