Job summary

Point Quest Group is seeking a Special Education Resource Teacher for a high school in San Lorenzo, CA. This full-time, 1.0 FTE position runs for the 2026-2027 school year, with a pay range of $50-$55 per hour and a CA SPED license required.

You will develop and manage IEPs, deliver specialized instruction across academics, behavior, and social-emotional learning, and collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams to create an inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Valid California Department of Education Special Education Generalist license.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of classroom experience.
• Flexible team player.
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams & students.
• Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IEPs for students.
• Provide specialized instruction in academics, behavior, social-emotional learning, and executive functioning.
• Deliver research-based interventions based on individual student needs.
• Monitor student progress and maintain compliant documentation and progress reports.
• Coordinate annual, initial, and reevaluation IEP meetings.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families.
• Collect and analyze assessment data to guide instruction and eligibility decisions.
• Foster a safe, equitable, and supportive learning environment.

About the Role

Provide specialized instruction, develop and manage IEPs, collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams, and help create an inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive. Teaching 4 periods working with students, 2 periods for prep/case management.
