Pratt Liberty Middle School seeks a Resource Room Teacher to coordinate developmentally appropriate educational services for students with disabilities. The role involves planning, delivering, and evaluating individualized programs in self-contained and integrated settings.

You will collaborate with teachers, parents, psychologists, and other staff to develop IEPs and ensure compliance with IDEA and 504 plans, while maintaining thorough documentation and ongoing progress assessments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education required; Master's degree preferred.
• Appropriate state license or ability to obtain waiver required.
• Two years of experience highly preferred.

Responsabilités

• Performs a variety of assessments to determine areas for extra or modified services.
• Identifies student needs and develops lesson and teaching plans.
• Develops IEPs and 504 plans and ensures activities meet abilities.
• Directs, mentors, and evaluates paraeducators working with students with disabilities.
• Ensures IDEA compliance and that FAPE is provided.
• Maintains all paperwork per local, state, and federal guidelines.
