Job summary

Antioch Community Consolidated School District 34 is seeking a Paraprofessional in Special Education Resource to support teachers and students with instruction and supervision. You will help implement accommodations and assist with daily activities in the classroom.

Work closely with teachers to follow IEPs and related plans, participate in training, and maintain a safe, respectful learning environment for all students.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
• Ability to remain calm in emotionally charged situations.
• Ability to model and coach behavior management techniques.
• Valid Paraprofessional license is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist students behaviorally, emotionally, and academically.
• Provide active supervision in academic and nonacademic settings.
• Enforce PBIS/TBRI or Pyramid Model behavior expectations.
• Assist with modifications and accommodations to the general education curriculum.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in professional development.
• Ensure student safety and support positive peer interactions.
• Refer to IEPs/504s and communicate with educators as needed.
