Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• AA degree or 72 college credits or para-educator test is preferred.
• Experience with students in an educational setting is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Work with students under the direction of certificated teachers to support academic skills and language development.
• Learn instructional techniques and carry out programs developed by supervising teachers.
• Assist staff in developing and using teaching aids and materials.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to support student progress.
• Assist in assessing students and monitor progress in class activities.
• Move between classrooms per period and assist with record keeping.
• Promote positive public relations when communicating with the public.
