Job summary

Fairfield County Educational Service Center is seeking a qualified leader to provide direction to student services staff, ensuring compliance with Federal and State laws in special education, preschool, and related areas at the elementary level. The role requires coordination with the district and school administrators to implement effective services and reports for the Ohio Department of Education.

Qualifications

• Ohio Special Education Teacher's Certificate in at least one SLD area.
• Educational administrative specialist, principal, or supervisor certificate.
• Three years of teaching experience in special education.
• Knowledge of Google Apps for Education suite.
• Proficiency with Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist with special education programs, preschool, and Section 504.
• Collaborate to deliver and improve special education programs.
• Coordinate student services to support district programs.
• Consult with elementary principal on program implementation.
• Assist with mandated reports to the Ohio Department of Education.
• Provide leadership to administrators, psychologists, and staff on federal and state requirements for educating students with disabilities.
• Guide RTI and MTSS processes and requirements.
• Lead staff on Section 504 compliance and placement planning.
• Develop district-wide policies for special education and student services.
• Maintain complete individual records for all students in special education.
• Advise on supplies, instructional materials, and curriculum for special education, preschool, and ELL staff.
• Ensure confidentiality of test scores and personnel information.
• Complete district training and comply with board policies.
