Job summary

Victoria ISD Special Service Department in Victoria, TX seeks a Coordinator of Special Services to identify and coordinate resources for students who qualify for special education. You will collaborate with campus staff to implement appropriate programs and demonstrate leadership across SPED initiatives.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree, five years of SPED/administration experience, and knowledge of SPED laws; a Master's is preferred and T-Tess certification or willingness to obtain it.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred in a related area.
• T-Tess appraiser certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• Five years’ experience in special education or school administration preferred.
• Knowledge of state and federal Special Education laws and rules.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and coordinates resources at campuses to meet needs of students who qualify for special education.
• Works with campus personnel to provide appropriate programs for all Special Education students.
• Provides leadership of assigned special education programs for staff and development purposes.
• Supervises Special Education personnel as assigned by Executive Director of Special Education.
