Employment Term (days): 210 or 220 (as determined by Supervisor)
Pay Scale: Administrative - Instructional 5
Primary Purpose:
Identifies, develops and coordinates resources at each campus or program assigned in order to meet the needs of students who qualify for special education.
Works with campus personnel to provide appropriate programs for all Special Education students on the campus.
Provides leadership of assigned special education programs for staff and program development purposes.
Qualification Guidelines:
Education/Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree
Master's degree in a special education area or a related area (preferred)
T-Tess appraiser certified or willingness to obtain upon hire
Experience:
Five years’ experience within special education or school administration (preferred)
Special Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of Special Education laws, state and federal (rules and regulations)
Strong ability to communicate orally and in writing
Ability to coordinate special education programs
Vast knowledge and experience with behavior management and intervention strategies
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervise Special Education personnel as assigned by Executive Director of Special Education
Position Type: Full-Time
Salary: $317.36 to $448.07 Per Day
