The Chester County Intermediate Unit (CCIU) is seeking a Special Education Coordinator at the Child & Career Development Center in Coatesville, PA. Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Educational Leadership or related field (required).
• Minimum of 5 years successful teaching experience in special education (required).
• Demonstrated success in improving instructional quality and student outcomes.
• Experience with formal teacher evaluation, curriculum implementation, and professional development delivery preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct frequent classroom walkthroughs and provide coaching to teachers and support staff.
• Support implementation of evidence-based instructional practices aligned with IEPs and curricular standards.
• Collaborate with instructional coaches, department chairs, and related service providers to promote instructional consistency and excellence in teaching.
• Participate in data review meetings to support teachers in analyzing student data and developing instructional and intervention strategies.
• Serve as the instructional leader for a designated program area and ensure individualized programming that meets students' strengths and needs.
• Collaborate with families, service providers, and community partners to promote student growth and readiness for post-secondary opportunities.
• Conduct formal evaluations of assigned teachers and support staff, participate in hiring and onboarding processes.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to staff to support professional growth and instructional quality.
• Ensure IEP process fidelity, compliance with legal and procedural requirements, and high-quality documentation.
