Job summary

Commonwealth Charter Academy DuBois location is seeking a Supervisor of Special Education to lead the special education program. You will work with teachers, administrators and families to ensure compliant, effective services for students with IEPs in least restrictive environments.

Lead instructional planning, coordinate MTSS and UDL approaches, and manage direct services or contracted supports. Travel to family service centers and sites is required on a regular basis.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Education or Special Education, or related area.
• Administrative Principal or Supervisor of Special Education Certification required.
• Minimum of 5 years teaching experience, preferably in public school.
• Strong communication skills and ability to lead a team.

Responsibilities

• Monitor student paperwork for compliance with IEP processes and timelines.
• Coordinate IEP direct services with teachers or contracted providers.
• Oversee implementation of IEP accommodations during testing.
• Lead professional learning and support to staff.
• Engage with families to support student learning and resolve conflicts.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal laws and school policies.
• Represent LEA in IEP meetings and participate in district initiatives.
