Job summary

Methuen Public School District is seeking a 1:1 Program Assistant Foundations Sub (3 openings) at the Early Childhood Center to support students with disabilities in inclusive and substantially separate settings. The role includes implementing programs and assisting the classroom teacher.

You will escort students, support toileting and feeding needs, monitor attention and progress, and help with behavior plans under BCBA supervision. Salary is listed at $32,632.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associates degree or higher preferred.
• Experience working with children/students.
• Experience assisting in program implementation.
• Ability to work with professional staff.
• Outstanding preparation and/or experience may substitute for some qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Support students with disabilities in inclusive and substantially separate settings.
• Assist with behavior plan implementation.
• Provide academic support as needed.
• May need to support feeding and toileting needs.
• Monitor attention, work completion and social navigation.
• Perform duties as assigned by school administration.
• Other duties as assigned by the classroom teacher.
