Job summary

Two Springs Elementary School is seeking a 6-hour per day Early Childhood Special Education Paraprofessional to work with students under a teacher's direction. Duties include small-group and individual support, lifting and assisting as needed, and helping in lunchroom, toileting, transportation, and recreational activities.

Requires 6 college credits in Early Childhood Education and a commitment to complete 6 more within a year. Veterans preference applies.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 hours of Early Childhood Education credits.
• Must complete an additional 6 hours of Early Childhood Education within 12 months of hire.
• Ability to lift and assist students in classroom and activity settings.

Job description

Duties include working with students in small groups and individually under the direction of the teacher. Candidate must able to lift, give physical assistance when necessary; assist in lunchroom responsibilities, toileting, transportation, and in recreational activities. Requires 6 hrs of college credit in Early Childhood Education. The candidate must complete an additional 6 hours of college credit in Early Childhood Education within a year of hire date. Required qualifications are the applicant not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of himself/herself or others with or without reasonable accommodations, and must be capable of regularly attending to the duties of the position assigned and for the duration of the assignment. This position is subject to a veterans preference.
