Job summary

Concord Preschool and Childcare in Wyoming seeks a compassionate education professional to support young learners in a preschool classroom. You will assist the lead teacher with daily activities, supervise children, and help create a safe, engaging environment during the 8-11 AM or 10-1 PM shifts, Monday through Thursday.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework in early childhood education preferred.
• Experience with young children in classroom or childcare setting preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly with children, families, and team members.
• Strong patience, flexibility, and positive approach to development.
• Ability to follow directions, work collaboratively, and maintain confidentiality.
• Basic understanding of child safety and supervision.

Job description

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and enthusiastic education professional to support young learners in a preschool classroom setting. In this role, you will work closely with teachers and staff to create a positive, engaging, and nurturing environment where children can learn, grow, and build foundational skills. Multiple positions are available, and require availability on school days from 8-11 AM. One position is available for a 10 AM-1 PM schedule. Monday-Thursday only, but additional hours may be available.

Responsibilities

• Support the lead teacher in implementing daily classroom activities and lesson plans.
• Assist designated children during instruction, play, meals, transitions, and outdoor activities.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
• Provide one-on-one or small-group support to children as needed.
• Encourage positive behavior, social development, and age-appropriate independence.
• Assist with classroom materials, setup, cleanup, and preparation for activities.
• Observe and report student needs, progress, and concerns to the teacher or special education staff.
• Support inclusive practices and help ensure each child feels welcomed and valued.

Work Environment
