Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree from a four-year college or university.
• PA Department of Education certificate as a Special Education Teacher and content area.

Responsibilities

• Plan curriculum and prepare lessons and instructional materials.
• Collaborate with Special Education teacher and others to develop IEPs.
• Instruct students in academics using diverse teaching methods.
• Teach daily living skills for independence and safety.
• Observe, evaluate, and report progress to stakeholders.
• Meet with parents to discuss resources and progress.
• Administer and interpret tests of ability and achievement.
• Provide instruction consistent with district and IU policies.
