Job summary

Illinois Education Job Bank is seeking a dedicated paraprofessional assistant to support students with special needs throughout the day, helping with academics and routine activities. You will help students follow a strict schedule and maintain safety while school is in session, while assisting the teacher to ensure success in meeting IEP goals.

Qualifications include ELS paraprofessional or PEL licensure, strong communication skills, and basic math/computer skills.

Qualifications

• Must hold an ELS (Paraprofessional) license or Professional Educator License (PEL).
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Basic math and computer skills as well as some general office skills are needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist student(s) with special needs throughout the day with academics and daily school routines.
• Follow a strict schedule and help maintain student safety while school is in session.
• Support students and teacher to help each student meet IEP goals.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
