Job summary

Hill 35 is seeking a paraprofessional to support students with disabilities in the PPCD program. You will assist with behavior management, self-help skills, and instructional activities both inside and outside the classroom.

Under general supervision, you will help prepare materials, supervise students during lunch, bus, and playground times, and maintain confidential records. The role involves collaboration with the PPCD teacher and staff development participation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Completion of at least two years of study at an institution of higher education (48 semester hours); or an associate's degree; or demonstrated ability to assist in reading, writing and math readiness.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the integration of students with disabilities with non-disabled peers.
• Help teacher prepare instructional materials and classroom displays.
• Maintain a neat and orderly classroom and assist with inventory and equipment care.
• Keep administrative records and assist with required reports.
• Maintain documentation on individual students' progress.
• Supervise Pegasus students outside of school hours as assigned.
• Collaborate with PPCD teacher to evaluate lesson plans for after-school activities for Pegasus children.
• Adhere to district records maintenance policies and retention schedules.
• Other duties as assigned.
