Job summary

Lyon County School District is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional to assist teachers and support students with disabilities under supervision. The role includes implementing IEP-based activities, supporting personal care tasks, and helping with data collection and behavior management using classroom technology.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED with CPR/First Aid and crisis prevention training preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR/First Aid and Crisis Prevention training preferred.
• Experience assisting in special education and implementing IEP goals.

Responsibilities

• Assist students in physical tasks, personal care, and daily routines.
• Support instructional activities and follow IEP-based plans.
• Work with small groups under teacher supervision to reinforce material.
• Document student progress and communicate with licensed teachers.
• Assist with technology and augmentative devices used in the classroom.
