Job summary

NOLA Public Schools is seeking a dedicated Special Education Paraprofessional to support students with disabilities under the supervision of a certified teacher. You will assist in implementing IEP goals, reinforce learning, and support behavior and social-emotional development in inclusive classroom settings.

Responsibilities include small-group instruction, data collection for progress monitoring, and collaboration with staff to ensure compliant, supportive learning environments.

Qualifications

• Hold a high school diploma and pass the ETS ParaPro Assessment.
• Complete at least 48 semester credit hours.
• Associate degree or higher from an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• Assist the special education teacher with implementing IEP goals, accommodations, and modifications.
• Work with students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning and interventions.
• Support students with disabilities in general and special education settings and during transitions.
• Assist with behavioral support plans and document behavior as directed.
• Support data collection and progress monitoring for compliance and instructional planning.
• Maintain confidentiality in accordance with FERPA and other laws.
