Job summary

The candidate should have a high school diploma (AA degree or ParaPro preferred) and experience with children. Strong communication and teamwork are essential, with background checks required for employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; an AA degree or higher in education or related field preferred.
• Requires two years of college, an AA degree, or ParaPro Assessment (Praxis) completion.
• Experience with children or in an educational setting is desirable.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build rapport with students, families, and staff.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Support students with diverse learning needs by providing individualized attention and assistance.
• Monitor student progress and behavior, giving feedback and support as needed.
• Facilitate small group activities and provide additional instruction to reinforce concepts.
• Help maintain a safe, organized classroom conducive to learning.
• Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement IEPs for students.
• Participate in professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to support student success.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervising teacher or school administration.
