Job summary

Oshawa Learning Academy in Minnesota is seeking dedicated Special Education Paraprofessionals to support students in grades 4–12. The role runs 5.25 hours daily (7:55 am – 1:40 pm) and works with teachers and staff to foster a nurturing, inclusive learning environment promoting academic and social-emotional development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree, 60 credits, or paraprofessional competency assessment required.
• Experience working with children or individuals with disabilities preferred.
• Experience in educational or behavioral support settings preferred.
• Must meet Minnesota paraprofessional qualifications.
• CPI, First Aid/CPR, or other district-required training may be required depending on assignment.

Responsibilities

• Supports students with disabilities in accessing instruction and educational opportunities across school environments.
• Under licensed staff direction, assists with instructional, behavioral, social-emotional, health, and functional supports to promote growth, independence, and success in the least restrictive environment.
