Job summary

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Certified as Qualified Paraprofessional, or ability to become within established timelines.
• Trained in CPR, First Aid, AED and Safe Crisis Management (SCM) or willing to be trained.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs with/without assistance.
• Computer skills including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the teacher to support the educational and social development of students.
• Help maintain a positive classroom environment and assist in behavior management.
• Assist in instructional activities under teacher direction and monitor outcomes.
• Provide input on student progress, needs, and accommodations.
• Assist with personal care needs and transportation related tasks as directed.
• Perform clerical and housekeeping duties and support material preparation.
