Job summary

ReGeneration Schools in Chicago, IL, seeks an experienced full-time Paraprofessional to support students with IEP goals and behavioral plans. You will work closely with general and special education teams to provide individualized instruction and promote socially appropriate behavior.

The role requires a Paraprofessional license from ISBE and at least 60 college credits (associate degree or higher), with 1–5 years of urban-paraprofessional experience. Competitive compensation plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Requires ISBE Paraprofessional license.
• Associate degree or higher (60 credits) required.
• 1–5 years paraprofessional experience in an urban setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Closely monitor student behavior per IEP and BIP.
• Provide individualized instruction one‑to‑one under the Special Education teacher.
• Set ambitious academic and social-emotional benchmarks.
• Support classroom teacher with prompting, redirection, and modeling.
• Model appropriate student behaviors and collect behavioral/academic data.
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals and school team to improve mastery.
• Participate in mandatory professional development and CPI training.
• Other duties as assigned.
