Washington County Public Schools is seeking a Paraprofessional for the STEP Program at Jonathan Hager Elementary School. The role supports teachers by working with students individually and in small groups, reinforcing skills and strategies for instruction.

Responsibilities include assisting with classroom organization, supervising students, and helping care for classroom equipment. Requires a High School diploma, two years’ experience with children, and lifting up to 50 pounds; position is 7

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must achieve Highly Qualified status (AA degree, 48 credits, or Paraprofessional Praxis Test).
• Two years of experience with children or equivalent education/experience.
• Ability to lift between 30-50 pounds.
• Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
• Ability to perform essential functions with or without accommodations.

Responsabilidades

• Work with individual students and small groups to reinforce skills.
• Assist the teacher in devising strategies for reinforcement and instruction.
• Help maintain classroom organization and a positive learning environment.
• Operate and assist with care of classroom equipment.
• Supervise and manage students during instructional and non-instructional activities.
• Provide physical care and management of students as needed.
