Job summary

Valley View School District 365-U is seeking a full-time Special Education Program Paraprofessional for the 2026/2027 school year. Under supervision, you will assist in the educational, functional, and social development of students with disabilities across settings.

Responsibilities include supporting instruction, transitions, data collection, and collaboration with teachers. Requires IL Paraprofessional license and a HS diploma with 30 college hours; 181-day work year with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Requires Illinois Paraprofessional Educator license and HS diploma with 30 college hours.
• Ability to assist with educational tasks and support IEP goals.
• Strong communication and collaborative skills with teachers and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with academic tasks and functional skills as directed.
• Supervise students during transitions and activities per IEP.
• Provide behavior and safety support following classroom plans and strategies.
• Assist with adaptations of curriculum and use of technology.
• Maintain records of student progress as needed.
• Support students with assistive devices and accessibility needs.
