Job summary

Valley View Public School District is seeking a full-time Special Education Program Paraprofessional for the 2026/2027 school year to support students with disabilities under licensed staff supervision.

You will assist with academic tasks, classroom transitions, and implementing IEP- and other support plans, using technology (Google Suite) and collaboration with teachers to create a supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Illinois Professional Educator License or paraprofessional licensure with stipulations.
• High school diploma or equivalent with 30 college hours.
• Ability to work with students with disabilities under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with academic tasks and functional skills.
• Supervise transitions in classroom and school settings.
• Provide support per IEPs and related plans.
• Assist with communication, scheduling, and curriculum adaptations.
• Work with students individually or in small groups to reinforce concepts.
• Maintain progress records and support classroom management.
