Job summary

Union Elementary School seeks a Special Service Paraprofessional to support students in grades K-4. The role is 6.5 hours per day during the school year, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch. The paraprofessional will provide personal care, assist with instruction, and support teachers.

Duties include data collection, medication assistance, materials preparation, and ensuring a safe, supportive learning environment. Union Elementary offers benefits per FPSEU contract.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or 2 years of college; Bachelor's preferred.
• Ability to develop rapport with students and collaborate with teachers.
• Experience with ABA, DTI; strong data collection practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care/hygiene assistance and may assist with medication regimen.
• Support instructional services and classroom activities per teacher plans.
• Record individual student progress and maintain confidential records.
• Assist with materials prep, manage seating and transitions, monitor behavior.

Skills
