Job summary

Littleton Elementary School District Lakin Prep Academy in Avondale, Arizona, seeks a Special Education Paraprofessional to assist with instruction and supervision of students, including one-on-one and small-group support.

You will work under teachers, help with IEP-related tasks, testing, and progress reporting, maintain confidentiality, and support behavior management in a classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree; OR High school diploma with ParaPro certification; background check required.
• Knowledge of IEPs and testing procedures.
• Ability to assist with reading, writing and math tasks.
• Strong communication with parents and staff.
• Capability to lift up to 40 pounds in a classroom setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with instruction and supervision of SPED students in group and one-on-one settings.
• Assist with development of individual learning plans and classroom materials.
• Supervise students and support behavior and learning objectives.
• Maintain confidential records and assist with reporting duties.
• Support MEDICAID in Public Schools (MIPS) reporting as required.
