Job summary

St. Michael-Albertville School District's Big Woods Elementary in Saint Michael, MN is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional for the 2026-2027 school year.

The position supports students with disabilities in academic, behavioral, and physical needs under the supervision of the special education staff. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:15 to 2:15 with a 30-minute lunch; FTE 0.8125 (32.5 hours weekly).

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED and two years of post-secondary education or equivalent.
• Ability to work with staff and an educational team to provide services to students with disabilities.
• Previous experience with students or adults with disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with academic, behavioral, and physical supports for students with disabilities as per IEP goals.
• Work with teachers and bus staff to implement individualized services in small group or classroom settings.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information under FERPA.
