The role emphasizes collaboration with teachers, behavior support, and data collection to track student progress. We offer an on-site daycare, 181 work days, and a team-focused environment dedicated to evidence-based practices.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with special education programs.
• Experience in classroom or childcare setting preferred.
• Knowledge of behavior management techniques beneficial.
• Strong verbal and written communication with teachers, parents, and professionals.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with mild to moderate special needs in daily activities and social interactions.
• Collaborate with teachers and related services to implement IEPs.
• Provide one-on-one or small group instruction to reinforce concepts.
• Support development of appropriate behavior and social skills.
• Assist with classroom management and maintaining a positive learning environment.
• Help students with organization and time management skills.
• Monitor and document student progress and achievements.
• Assist in implementing accommodations and modifications per IEPs.
• Collaborate with lead teacher for materials and supplies needed for lessons.
• Deliver instruction under supervision and receive coaching on classroom management.
