Job summary

Park Street Elementary School in Marietta, GA is seeking a Paraprofessional for Special Education EBD. The role reports to the Principal and supports teachers with student learning and progress data.

Responsibilities include one-on-one support, co-teaching collaboration, and helping students develop social, emotional, and behavioral skills. Starting date is immediate, with full-time classification and non-exempt status.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours or passing Paraprofessional Assessment.
• Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder or developmental delays.
• Ability to collaborate with teachers and school staff to support learning.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance and adheres to schedules.
• Assists with classroom management and data collection for student records.
• Provides one-on-one support for individual students as required.
• Supports development of social/emotional, physical, and behavioral skills under supervision.
• Prepares learning materials tailored to individual learning styles.
• Assists with assessments and tracks progress on goals and objectives.
• Works on student IEP goals and reports strengths/weaknesses.
• Collaborates in co-teaching settings and implements accommodations.
• Supervises students on field trips and off-campus activities as needed.
• Maintains confidentiality of student information and program data.
• Supports participation in school committees and events as requested.
