Job summary

Marietta City Schools is seeking a Paraprofessional, Special Education-EBD for Park Street Elementary School in Marietta, GA. This full-time position supports students with disabilities under the supervision of a classroom teacher and the principal, starting immediately.

The role involves assisting with behavior and academic supports, data collection, IEP goals alignment, and field trips, with focus on students with autism spectrum characteristics.

Qualifications

• Experience with students who display characteristics of Autism Spectrum Disorder or developmental delays.
• Education requirements include an associate degree or 60 sem. hours / 90 qtr. hours or passing Paraprofessional Assessment.
• Ability to collect data and monitor student progress as part of IEP goals.

Responsibilities

• Maintain prompt and regular attendance and follow work schedules.
• Assist with classroom management and data collection (state databases, student info, FTE).
• Provide one-on-one support to students as needed.
• Support development of social/emotional, behavioral and therapeutic skills under supervision.
• Prepare learning materials tailored to individual learning needs.
• Document student progress toward goals and objectives.
• Collaborate in co-teaching environments to reinforce instruction and accommodations.
• Supervise students on field trips and at off-campus sites as required.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information.
• Participate in committees and school functions as requested.
