Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours or Paraprofessional Assessment passed.
• Experience with students displaying Autism Spectrum Disorder or developmental delays.
• Ability to work with teachers and students in inclusive settings and follow instruction.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates attendance and adheres to work schedules.
• Assists with classroom management and data collections.
• Provides one-on-one support for individual students as required.
• Teaches or assists students in developing social/emotional and related skills.
• Prepares learning materials tailored to individual learning styles.
• Documents student progress toward goals and objectives.
• Supports staff in implementing IEP goals and accommodations.
• Collaborates with teachers in co-teaching environments.
• Supervises students on field trips and off-campus sites.
• Maintains confidentiality of student information.
• Participates in school committees and additional duties as requested.
