Job summary

CAPS Collaborative is seeking paraprofessionals to support students with multiple disabilities and those who are medically fragile in small-group and one-to-one settings. Prior experience with special education and ABA/behavioral background is a plus.

Paraprofessionals assist certified teachers with designed instructional activities, provide academic and emotional support, and help students participate and learn in a positive classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Respect and maintain student and family confidentiality.
• Cooperates successfully as a team member.
• Communicates effectively with other team members, including written and oral feedback.

Responsibilities

• Carry out instructional programs to meet individual learning needs of students.
• Implement and model intervention/instruction designed to meet needs of students with intensive special needs.
• Maintain data collection per lead teacher instructions.
• Advocate on behalf of students' needs.
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and team members.
