Oak View Elementary in Maple Grove, MN, seeks an Educational Support Professional to assist the special education teacher and support students with individualized plans. This part-time role emphasizes student engagement, data collection, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

You will implement instructional supports, help with materials, and participate in district training; ASL skill is preferred but not required, and the district encourages growth and professional mentorship.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• HQ by start date per MN Department of Education
• Options for HQ: two years of college (60 credits) or an associate degree or passing ParaPro/ParaEducator/ParaPathways assessment

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing students' special education instructional plans including physical and behavioral management
• Assist in implementing and following through of individual student plans in all program settings
• Collect observational data about assigned students and report to supervising teacher
• Assist in preparation, collection and maintenance of educational materials and equipment
• Assist staffings, conferences and other meetings as requested by supervising teacher
• Complete educational forms and student data as directed by the special education teacher
• Participate in district training programs
• ASL proficiency is preferred but not required
