Job summary

Murphey Candler Elementary School in DeKalb County is seeking a Paraprofessional in General Education to support teachers and students in the classroom and community. Qualifications

• Minimum of 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours with GPA 2.0 or higher from an accredited college/university.
• High school diploma/GED and a passing score on the GACE Paraprofessional Assessment.
• Must obtain valid Professional Standards Commission approved paraprofessional certificate.

Responsibilities

• Provide small group and/or individualized instruction to students as directed by the teacher.
• Assist with daily classroom management to promote an effective learning environment.
• Assist with assessment of student performance (tests) and related recordkeeping.
• Assist with development and organization of instructional materials for use with students.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
