Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and pass the GACE Paraprofessional Assessment.
• Alternatively, an associate degree or higher from a GA PSC-approved college.
• Or minimum 60 semester hours with a 2.0 GPA from a GA PSC-approved college.
• A valid GA PSC paraprofessional certificate is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instructional support to students under a certified special education teacher.
• Assist with classroom management to maintain an effective learning environment.
• Deliver small group or one-on-one instruction aligned to lesson plans.
• Reinforce academic content and implement accommodations per IEPs.
• Monitor students during non-instructional times and assist with data collection.
