Job summary

DESCRIPTION

The SPED paraprofessional positions provide academic and behavioral support for students in grades 4-5, and may provide some small group instruction, also. The job entails providing students with academic and behavioral support in the classroom. In addition, this person will be responsible for observing and documenting student progress, working collaboratively with the special education and general education teachers, and meeting the student’s academic needs.

• Target job related education (two years of study 48 semester credits at an institution of higher education or have an associate's degree or pass the District’s basic skills test.)
