Job summary

School District 27J seeks a paraprofessional to support students with severe disabilities in both special and general education settings. The role involves direct instruction, material modification, life skills support, and coordination with teachers and therapists.

Responsibilities include data collection, maintaining records, and following Behavior Intervention Plans, CPI guidelines, and safety protocols. Requires ability to lift up to 100 pounds and pass background checks.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Must pass a post offer, pre-employment physical.
• Must pass a Colorado and Federal Bureau of Investigation background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instruction and supervision for students with disabilities in special and general education classrooms.
• Modify materials and classroom environment under direction of Special Education staff.
• Identify and facilitate peer relationships and natural supports.
• Follow through with Behavior Intervention Plans and CPI measures.
• Maintain required forms and records as requested by teachers.
